(a) Description of Royal Dutch Shell plc Royal Dutch Shell plc is a public limited company registered in England and Wales and headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands. It has three business segments: upstream, downstream and corporate. Upstream: focus on exploration for new liquids and natural gas reserves and on developing major new projects. Downstream: focus on turning crude oil into a range of refined products for domestic, industrial and transport use. [1]Shell’s major focus on need to build sustainable energy future. Shell stresses its role in integrating sustainability at all levels of its business. It planning to reduce impact on the environment.
